This assignment involved collecting various types of telecommunications data to help build up an indicator database and ascertain the performance of the sector. We also carried out extensive phone interviews with various telecommunication experts to ascertain their perception of the performance of the sector as well as the regulatory environment.
Another part of the work involved collecting ICT usage data from different government ministries and agencies using structured questionnaire surveys.
- Desk research
- Building up an Indicator Database, which involved collecting supply side data
- Surveying Government e-Usage. This entailed collecting data from various government institutions regarding their ICT usage
- Regulatory perception Survey – TRE. This part of the work involved setting up a panel of about 30 domain experts, and then interviewing them via telephone interviews
- Updating the Telecommunications Sector Performance Review (SPR) that we helped compile in 2003 to help bring it up-to-date
- Performing country peer-reviews of other country SPRs put together by different members of the RIA network
- Produced a country report based on the analysis of the collected data
